These pink onions are imported directly from France and can be eaten raw or cooked. Roscoff onions are AOC certified, a term used in food labelling to preserve the style, ingredients, and provenance of a product. They are grown in Roscoff, a small town on the Brittany coast. Roscoff onions were introduced to France in the 17th century and are famous for their distinct flavour, beautiful pink/copper colour, and long shelf life, as well as being a good source of vitamin C. Roscoff onions are also one of the few onion varieties that do not make you cry! We recommend cooking these pink onions in butter with thyme as a delectable side dish, or finely slicing and adding to a salad.
